On behalf of the staff and students of Chicopee Hills P.S., we want to thank our community for an awesome first day!

It was absolutely amazing to see everyone walk to school, holding their flags in our school parade on our first day.

Comments were made by police and firefighters about how safe people were and what a difference there was with very few cars who came on the property.

As we have more Kindergarten children begin school each day this week, we are asking Kindergarten parents to join the parade each day to school. Walking and riding bikes is the most efficient way to come to school.

Today, we celebrated the official opening of our school with a ribbon cutting ceremony in the gym with our students and staff, and also with our school board personnel.

We had some great media coverage from CTV Kitchener, the K-W Record and the Waterloo Chronicle.

We will be hosting parents to our Cruise Night on Tuesday, Sept. 12. (Food Trucks from 5:00 to 8:00 PM), and then we will host an open house for parents from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
