Chicopee P.S. is partnering with ESNS (Elementary School Nutrition Services) to provide healthy food options each day for students. Options will include beverages like milk and juice and also items like pizza and subs and other menu items.

All orders are done online and we receive reports each day prior to delivery of what items are to be delivered to each class. We are seeking volunteers who will distribute the food to classes each morning. This will take 1 hour of time each morning.

Please note that volunteer assistance from our parent community is essential to having this program provided at our school. Without your assistance, we will not be able to provide this service. Please think about volunteering some time to this program. Our first date for distributing food to students will be on Monday, Sept. 18. We will need support 5 days a week. However, even if you can give us some assistance one time per week, we would appreciate it. Training will be provided to all volunteers by ESNS. See below for more information.

Food Distribution Volunteers

We are required to find volunteers to do all of the food distribution to classes each day. This happens from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM each day. If you are interested in supporting our school on a consistent basis, please go to the link below and sign up.

Food Distribution Coordinator

We are currently looking for one parent volunteer to act as a Food Distribution Coordinator for this program. This person would coordinate and schedule all of the volunteers to come in and run the program. Monitoring the class orders, and maintaining a clean servery kitchen would also be a part of this role.

Please note that these volunteer roles can be filled by other family members and by other community members who would like to help out.
