We have a new school on a new street, and we are encouraging families to ride bikes or walk to school. Carry your flags and start your day the healthy way with a nice walk and some fresh air. Create a walking school bus to school by gathering groups of children along the walking route. This creates a community group of walkers on the way to school. Bring an umbrella just in case it rains.

Traffic congestion is a concern on Fairway Road, Lackner Blvd. and on the small street in front of the school. To avoid frustration, and long line ups, park in some neighbouring side streets and walk up the rest of the way to the school. It will be just like a mini parade.

Please follow all traffic signs, and information signs around the school. There will be police presence in order to help ensure student safety.

Crossing guards will be located at the lights at Fairway Road and Lackner Blvd, AND on Lackner Blvd and Corfield Dr. Please walk to school using sidewalks and follow instructions of crossing guards.

There will be no parking on the school site for parents. So, avoid the traffic frustrations and establish a healthy routine of walking or riding a bike to school.

At the end of the day, traffic will not be allowed in our parking lots to wait for dismissal between 3:00 PM and 3:30 PM. Traffic will need to keep moving after 3:30 PM dismissal.

Your efforts to focus on alternate ways to come to school and leave school will be helpful in creating a safe neighbourhood.
