April 1 to June 30 is the busiest time of the school year because we are essentially getting a new school year ready while we are still running everything to finish a school year off. We will be building classes for the fall in the next few weeks. 

Parent Input for Class Building 2018-2019

In our first year as a new school, we handled over 60 parent requests which takes an incredible amount of time to process. Since our staff has a good understanding of our students, we are asking that parents only provide input if it is absolutely necessary in order for a student to be successful. Please note that requests for specific teachers will not be granted. We are really asking our community for your trust to allow staff to use their best professional judgement to determine the best placement of each student. The form is located below in the link with blue text. All forms must be completed between April 17 and April 27. Class building will begin on May 1 and input is needed prior to starting the process. Once we get started, we can’t go back.

School Organization for 2018-2019

Chicopee Hills is growing leaps and bounds for the next year. We will be jumping from about 570 students to 715 students.

This will require additional hiring of about 9 staff and the addition of portables to our facilities.

JK/SK  = 5 classes

Gr. 1A, 1B = 2 classes

Gr. 1 French Immersion = 1 class

Gr. 1-2     = 1 class

Gr. 2A, 2B  = 2 classes

Gr. 2-3   = 1 class

Gr. 3A  = 1 class

Gr. 3-4   = 1 class

Gr. 4A, 4B   = 2 classes

Gr. 4-5   = 1 class

Gr. 5A, 5B  = 2 classes
