It has only been 22 months since we opened our doors for the first time, and already it is time to close for the summer months. The last day of school has arrived and it provides a good time to reflect and celebrate the successes of this year!

We would like to wish the graduating class of 2019 all the best as they pursue secondary education. We had our first graduation ceremony and it was a wonderful celebration of our Gr. 8 student accomplishments.

At Chicopee, we reflect using gratitude as one of our HERO/GEM traits, and we would like to thank our students for giving their best effort with their learning this year. Successes don’t always come in marks, it can be through smiles, meeting some goals, making new friendships and learning something new. Thank you to our parent community for your ongoing support with our events, fundraising, school council and of course supporting your students each and every day. Finally, we are grateful for the amazing staff that serves this school community. Whether they are EA’s, custodians, teachers, DECE’s, secretaries, or administration, our staff contributes a lot to the school, to your students and of course to the learning that we do each day.

As we prepare for a new school year, class placement information for Grade 1-8 will be released on School Day on Friday, August 30  after 4:00 pm.  School will begin again on Tuesday, Sept. 3. We look forward to gathering once again on our Turf Field at 9:00 am as a Chicopee Community for our Gr. 1-8 students where classes will line up on the field.

We wish everyone a very safe and relaxing summer with opportunities to connect with friends, relax, & see new things before preparing for a new school year.

We are creative!  We are connected! We are community!  We are Chicopee!
